What's The Difference Between Dating and Courtship?

When did our culture change from that of "courtship" to that of "dating"? Courtship is when a young man who is interested in a young lady meets her parents and spends time with her to determine if they are compatible for marriage. If they are, they marry, if not, th part company. Dating is when a young man who is interested in a young lady spends time with her with the hope and expectation that they will have sex. They eventually have sex and keep,having sex until they decide they are no longer compatible. If they split, hopefully a pregnancy has not occurred. We are watching our children participant in a degenerate American culture which teaches men and women to use each other like disposable,paper towels. How can we get the younger generationback to the family building culture of courtship, rather than the emotionally exploitive practice of "dating"?
