The Chicago Football Classic gets young people excited about going to college in a way that no other program has done, bringing the talented athletes and musicians together in an arena that exposes the nation to the tremendous talent at Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The popular movie Drumline starring Nick Cannon was based on this annual event, now celebrating its 18th year as a major scholarship fundraiser for college bound students. Started by three black businessmen, Everett Rand, Tim Rand and Larry Huggins, this exciting event draws in many other businesses that want to encourage youth to seek a college education. This year, fans 18 and older have a chance to participate in a scholarship raffle and win a sleek new 2015 Chrysler 200. Today our guest is Chicago,Football Classic promoter Damon Smith, who will tell us more about how we can participate and enjoy this year's Chicago Football Classic to be held at Chicago's Soldier Field Saturday September 26, 2015.
