Understanding Sexual Assault: Why Are Men Conditioned To Be Predators Of Women?

This war between the sexes has got to end. Once again, a popular sports figure is accused of rape, and people are taking sides. Men claim that women "lie" about rape to get money, and women insist that men rape women because they believe they can get away with it. Beyond addressing the innocence or guilt of Derrick Rose, Patrick Kane, Bill Cosby, and countless others accused of sexually assaulting women, how do we heal the sick relationship between the sexes? The problem begins with our misguided teachings about sex. Why are men conditioned to be predators of women? How should we be teaching our sons about sex so that they have a healthy respect for women?
