Is Religion Causing Racism Or Helping Eliminate It?

It is said that 11:00am Sunday morning is the most segregated hour in the United States. Churches are teaching the brotherhood of mankind at that hour, but are strictly separated along racial lines. The execution of 9 African Americans by white supremist Dylann Roof as they participated in a Bible Study class at Emanuel African Episcopal Church in Charlotte, South Carolina church has forced America to take a good look at its religion, culture, politics and education and ask the question, are all of America's institutions reinforcing racism and a philosophy of White Supremacy? Are the religious institutions the biggest perpetrators of racist ideology? How do we as a society change the way we program the younger generation to eliminate this mindset?
