Hales Franciscan High school, a private Catholic institution known for its long standing tradition of high academic achievement, was in danger of closing due to decreased enrollment, creating a financial crisis that school alumni have come together to resolve. During their recent awards banquet, school officials announced a plan to seek out 25 top scholars to enroll in the school to continue its legacy. Formerly an all boys school and now a co-ed facility, Hales Franciscan has maintained a 100% success rate in graduating its students and preparing them for acceptance into college. Attorney, educator and talk show host Jerome P. Barney explains what has helped Hales create successful student graduates and why radio station WVON has come aboard to launch a drive to increase its enrollment.
