When people of like minds come together, all things become possible. The upcoming economic development and solidarity forum has brought together those with visions of economic empowerment through coordinated, deliberate buying and selling of products in a manner that strategically circulate money where it is most needed in the urban community. Sunday. April 12, 2015, an alliance of business networking organizations will launch a historic show of unity of purpose at the Economic Development and Solidarity Forum, to be held at the Grand Ballroom, 6351 S. Cottage Grove in Chicago, from 4pm to 9pm.  In addition to entertainment by conscious raising artists, vendors, entreprenuers and business executives will strategize on how to best direct the 1.9 trillion dollar economy controlled by African Americans across the United States. Companies that promote through publications, such as the National Black Pages, or through the Internet such as the blackmall.com will benefit from the collective promotional activities designed to maximize the influence of a market that has the buying power of the 9th largest nation in the world. The event is free and open to the public and will showcase some of the new products to hit the market ad will introduce independent business opportunities for those seeking a means to create their own wealth. Mark Finley, Coordinator of the Economic Development and Solidarity Forum will share his vision of how this concept will be taken across he country to tranform the urban communities of America.
