Should Schools Actively Teach The Philosophy Of Non-Violence?

It's one thing to punish students for fighting in school. It's another thing to actively teach a philosophy of "love your neighbor as yourself." We send children mixed messages - spanking them when they do something we don't like, entertaining them with violent TV shows, letting them listen to rap music that glorifies killing, then we punish them by suspending them from school when they fight.
