Western religions teach a basic understanding of life that reduces human existence to about six thousand years and describes life as a battle between good and evil. From childhood, we are indoctrinated to fear the unknown and to believe that the Earth is the only place where life exists. At the end of life, according to religious teachings, one goes to either "Heaven" or "Hell." The Bible describes "Angels" who periodically appear as beings of light who convey information. Is this real or is it all fantasy? Who are these people? What if they are actually visitors from space? Current movies explore ideas of evil invaders from space coming to take over Earth and destroy its inhabitants, again indoctrinating us to live in fear. But what if our religious leaders have been all wrong about everything?Kwame Sunhorse Lackey discusses the global debate by those who have regular contact with beings outside of Earth: is the Earth population ready for global contact with its Galactic neighbors? How will open contact with these "beings of light" from other worlds affect long standing religious beliefs
