Our self esteem is shaped early in life by the parents who raised us. Our parents lay the foundation for who we believe ourselves to be and what we believe ourselves capable of becoming. Words can build up and words can tear down.  How have your parents shaped your self image? Many of us who are engaged in self destructive behavior - drinking, drugs, promiscuity - are acting out because of low self esteem created by parents who verbally and /or physically abused us. How do we get to the root of the pain in our lives and begin to heal? Minister Cynthia Marie Williams discusses how to discover the childhood wounds that misshape our self image and cause us to self destruct. How can we know whether or not w're repeating the same pattern of verbal or physical abuse with our own children?
