How Should Adults Change The Way They Raise Their Sons And Daughters?

Men and women seem to have an unspoken war between them. Boys learn to view girls with a predatory attitude and girls learn to distrust the intentions of boys. Music lyrics reinforce disrespect of women. One mother wrote a letter widely circulated on the website Mamapedia Voices entitled "To the Mother of Daughters From the Mother of Sons." She pledges to teach her sons respect for women. Such a promise, if made by all mothers, can transform our society. How much of our nation's problems are the fault of adults who don't take responsibility for the negative influences in their child's lives? How should adults change the way they raise their sons and daughters in order to create a better society?
