Many veterans come from active combat duty back to civilian life in search of a job. A position as a police officer may seem like a logical choice. But is it really? Military officers are trained for combat, and lately the succession of YouTube videos indicate that today's police are quick to tackle a civilian and beat him (or her) senseless. This is dangerous for the men, women and children who are expecting a polite, calm, professional acting police officer, and instead are confronted with an aggressive soldier who, with the slightest provocation, becomes an executioner. Should military soldiers be hired to serve on the police force? Should psychological evaluations and mandatory counseling be required after military duty before a soldier becomes eligible for a job in civilian life? Mike Bradford and Robin Lynn, who formerly served in the military, discuss unknown factors that may account for what appears to be an increase in tpolice use of deadly force.
