Social media is the way youth communicate with and influence each other, which can be a good thing, but it can also be tragic when a negative trend becomes popular. Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, and many teens, depressed and full of hopelessness, often due to the overwhelming hormonal changes that create mood swings, choose to attempt suicide.
