While some lament about the absence of jobs in economically depressed communities, there are others who see today's condition as an opportunity to develop the spirit of entrepreneurship in youth. Pastor Lisa Brown, founder of the Rainbow Covenant Economic Development Coalition, shares her vision of a community center that will provide the spiritual inspiration, emotional counseling, educational foundation, computer skill training, entreprenurial experience and global busines opportunities for youth to break the cycle of economic dependency. She and her staff discuss the success of their program and its expansion to empower the Austin Community of Chicago. Their success can create a model for other urban areas to follow.  At the 8am hour, Shaka Barak, President of the Marcus Garvey Instittute recounts how Marcus Garvey, a great visionary, in history broke the mental chains of dependency among the African American children of freed slaves with his slogan, "Rise Up, You Mighty Nation, You Can Accomplish What You Will!" He along with studets at the Marcus Garvey Elementary School recount how Marcus Garvey instilled he philosophy of "Do For Self" and helped spark a Renaissance of creativety which grew into a successful global independence movement.  The poverty driven crime and violence in the urban community can be overcome by a mere change in thought. Today's guests examine that process of self empowerment. What are the steps to transformation from victim to the victorious?
