Are We Raising Our Daughters To Fight Over Men?

Emotional health is essential for raising an emotionally healthy child. The recent killing in Chicago of a 14 year old girl by another 14 year old girl over a boy is yet another tragic reminder of the sick environment we, the adults have created. Investigations into the murder reveal that the 14 year old who pulled the trigger, killing her former friend, was supplied with a gun by her 25 year old wheelchair bound uncle. The women in her life, mothers, aunts, knew of the hostile exchange of words on Facebook that the two girls were having, yet no one intervened. Not even when the fight got physical. Killing a girl over a boy? We have to examine the emotional health of mothers, many who are angry women who rant in rage about the men in their lives "cheating" on them with other girl friends.What are we really teaching our daughters?
