What Is The Best Strategy To End Gun Violence?

Two questions on the March 18 Primary Ballot in Cook County address the use of guns by citizens in an attempt to curtail gun violence. One question asks if the conceal carry laws should be amended to prohibit guns inside places where alcohol is sold. The presumption is that people inside bars get drunk and would be more likely to pull out a weapon and open fire. But sober people have opened fire on public buses, highways, even gas stations. So, is this proposed change effective? The other question would prohibit the sale of magazines which provide multiple rounds of amunition. The presumption is that an emotionally unstable person would be able to shoot multiple victims at one time, as opposed to shooting just one victim.. So, is this proposed change effective? What is the best strategy to end gun violence? How about this idea: What if we give dysfunctional adults some counseling, try to raise non-violent children and in the mean time stop selling bullets? What do you think?
