Are Student Athletes Being Exploited By Coaches?

Great high school athletes often receive college scholarships, but may not receive a college education. Some may not even be academically prepared, especially if their talents were discovered early in their school career. Coaches may urge teachers to let gifted student athletes "slide" by with low grades. Then in college, they are urged to take easy classes in order to concentrate more on their sport. At the end of four years, they may not even have enough credits to graduate. Are good student athletes being exploited by schools?
