The death of a child can be a devastating blow for a family and often couples are torn apart by grief. But this is a time when we most need to lean on the one we love, and support each other in a time of sorrow. Throughout a marriage we will experience many times of grief, such as the passing of our elderly parents. A funeral need not be a time of stress, regret and blame. If we have the right understanding of life's transitions, we can celebrate each life with joy, regardless of how long or short that person's time on Earth may have been. Grieving together can build a stronger bond and help us remember to express appreciation for each other while we are here in this life now. After the grief, we must learn to celebrate life and remember to live life to the fullest everyday
