Across America for the last several days some cities have experienced an arctic blast. Freezing temperatures have produced dangerous consequences for those exposed to the elements. Schools closed in many cities as officials realized that many parents had no transportation and it was simply too cold to send children outside to wait on a bus. Many families do not have the money to buy warm clothing to protect their children against this kind of weather. But what about the homeless families who don't have permanent shelter at all? Who is responsible for their survival? The city? The religious community? Their relatives? Or are they on their own?
