We often speak of the "good ol' days" when collective parenting was our cultural norm, when everybody's Mama was your Mama and everybody's Daddy was your Daddy and all the adults had authority to reinforce discipline inall the children. Where did those days go? Women don't have the same relationship with each other anymore, in fact, women have such animosity and rivalry between them, they can't even protect their children from the bullying and violence of other women's children. The foundation of a community is the mothers and when you have a bunch of young mothers who cuss each other out, fight over men, and try to live teenage lives even after they have had several babies, we have a serious problem. How do we repair what was destroyed within the women in order to build a safe society that respects motherhood? What can the men do to help that change take place? What are men doing now that agitates the conflict between women? How can we teach the philosophy of collective parenting to today's young mothers and fathers?
