Parents are on the verge of divorce. The father no longer comes home every night, often hanging out with other women, the mother is always angry and fussing at the children, even hitting them in her frustration. The children are rebelling and constantly in trouble at school.  The oldest son is taking drugs and seems to be involved in gang activity, even committing robberies. The younger daughter is hanging out all night and is sexually active, on her way to becoming a teen mother.
