Zakiyyah Muhammad, Chicago activist and human rights advocate, discusses some of the causes she championed that earned her a recent award for community activism. From fighting for  justice for those unjustly arrested and imprisoned, to fighting for economic rights for those losing their homes due to foreclosure, Ms. Muhammad has been a voice for the voiceless and has been a pillar of strength for many of the nation's leaders of social justice movements. She discusses how women must use their moral authority as mothers to stand strong in the cause for peace.
