Surveillance cameras are being installed on streets, at public transportation shops, in grocery stores and in apartment buildings, but still crime increases. Is the thought of being watched on video really a deterent to crime? Or are we just agreeing to have our privacy violated? What's the next step for "protecting our safety"? A chip implant? What would it really take to make our society safer? How about if we just got to really know each other so that no one is anonymous and no one can commit a crime without it being known who they are?
