The horrible statistics in America state that 1 out of every 4 women is sexually abused during her lifetime. The emotional damage created by sexual violation is tremendous. Girtls who are abused as children often suffer in silence when the abuser is a trusted family member or family friend. The abuser may bribe or threaten the child or adults may choose to either not believe the child encourage the child to remain silent rather than taint the image of the adult abuser.
