Retired Fortune 500 executive Kurt Koontz recently returned from an inspiring 20-day trek in the Himalayas, reaching heights as high as 16,000 feet and even higher spaces in the heart. Kurt returns to the show to share insights from his powerful journey. Kurt is the author of A Million Steps, in which he chronicles his life-changing adventure of nearly 500 miles on the historic Camino de Santiago in Spain, following the steps of a 1300-year-old pilgrimage bridging inner and outer worlds.

Kurt retired at the age of 36. For the past decade, his travels have taken him to all corners of the world, requiring both physical and mental endurance. Kurt has been interviewed on over 50 radio programs, including NPR, and has been published in over 20 magazines. His Camino story was recently featured in a 30 minute PBS television interview. He regularly travels to share his experiences with audiences and recently became a Vistage International presenter.
