The republican vice-presidential nominee has put his foot in his mouth big time. He said that the country is being run by childless cat ladies and althoughit was meant to be a dig at democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris, it has been heard and felt by millions of women around the country who don't have children. They are not happy about what he said and because he has not apologized, or walked back his comments, it has made the controversy more severe than the party wants. Things like this have the power to sway an election in the opposite direction than the party intended. Certainly, there are plenty of women who are republicans who do not have children.
