Should a stepparent, or live-in boyfriend, or girlfriend be able to physically discipline your children? I guess the important question should be: What would be the reason that a stepparent would need to put their hands on your children, their children, or anyone else's children? This is a touchy subject because raising children needs to be done with care and today's children are so sensitive, that things can go left early, while kids born before the 80's may have been a lot more physically and emotionally tough. The other thing is that parents need to be good judges of character when choosing mates, especially if they are going to have those mates around their children. Every parent isn't good with this.
