We know that the truth is relative. We have been taught that, since we have been taught to understand things. What we may not have been taught, is how much the truth can be manipulated, based on what we may think that we need at certain times. We might not have been taught that there will be times when we won't care about what is true. There will be times when we will make our own decision about what is true. The truth and reality is supposed to go together, but there are times when we separate the two things, becomes the time might not be right for the both of them together and that may be the truth.
