Most people care about the way that they look. They care about the way that people see them. They care that people think that they are honest, trustworthy and will not sell them out. They care that people see them in a good light. They want to be seen as the one who will associated with the good and won't fraternize with the bad. It drives some people to pretend that things that are not right and complete are right and complete. It drives some people to act like they have their shit together when they may be nowhere near it. When people who are against you see this, they may use it as a weapon against you a lot. They may use it to control you.
