We know how much trouble the male ego can cause, but do we know what that's all about? We know how many fights it has caused over the years and the refusal to apologize for wrongdoing. We know  about the infidelity that has lead to breakups and the families that it has damaged and sometimes destroyed. We know about the pissing contests that it has sparked and the ridiculousness that it has displayed . We know about when it has been out of control, how people were able to prey on it and use it to their advantage, while leaving the man looking stupid. We know about how it seeks validation, while pretending that it doesn't need anyone, when it gets bruised.

What about the good parts of the male ego? The part that wouldn't let his family down, because the world  could not see him, or his associations as a failure. The one who stayed loyal because his ego couldn't be seen as a traitor, or as a deserter.
