We love movies, tv, radio, politics and almost any areas where we can see that we can compete and win in this world. Are these things real though? We like to see Black actors in our movies, but do the roles that they play represent a reality of how we live? Should they show how we really are, or should we show more of what our possibilities could be? What about tv? We had a Black president in the white house for 2 terms and it was something that many Black people thought that they would never see in their lifetimes. He conducted himself well and didn't mess up. Thinking about his presidency 3 years after he is gone, as a people, has our condition improved in any way since he was in office? What were we able to take with us, in the way of empowerment? Are OUR people any stronger than we were before Barack Obama became president? Were we just fed more images of our success to compensate for not receiving any real opportunities? Let's get into it.
