People move away from the places that they grew up, all the time. Most people do it for financial reasons. To work at a job that pays them more money than they could have made in the city, town, or state that they came from.

Sometimes a parent will uproot their family in order to do this. Is that a good idea, or does it fit the situation of the time? Is that fair to the children?

What are some other reasons that a family member would decide to move away from the people that they love and decide not to come back? Is money always the biggest reason, or are there other reasons that might influence family members to go, while everyone else stays?
