We all make messes. Do we all clean up the mess that we've made? There are levels to the messes that get made. Some messes are large and some are small, but they all have to be cleaned up by someone. By cleaned up, I mean that they have to be dealt with. They have to be fixed. There is a responsibility that comes along with handling any messes that get made.

How do you clean up a mess that has been made? You might have to offer an apology. You might have to pay your way out of it. You may have to do some work like restitution. You may have to suffer some humiliation or embarrassment. You may have to suffer a punishment. You may have to be incarcerated for awhile. You may have to do something for free that you used to get paid for. There a lot of ways to clean up a mess that you've made, but the mess has to be cleaned up by you, or someone else. When someone cleans up a mess for you, that means that they have made an excuse for you, covered up something for you or have found a way to make your mess look like it was done on purpose.

Is it right to have someone clean up your mess for you?
