Yeah babymom  and babydad sound like the same thing as the mom or dad of your child or children because both situations involve children that were born out of wedlock but are they the same thing?
It's hard to argue that babymom and babydad are negative titles. When people use the terms it's often to describe someone that they don't have a lot of respect or admiration for. Some people cringe at the sound of the terms because they're not even real words. They're words that we use to identify others but hardly ever like them to be used to describe us. These words have saturated pop culture like a mug! We never thought we would hear these kinds of terms on t.v. but we sure do.
Think about the characteristics that usually fit the bill of a babymom or a babydad. Save them for the show.

When you refer to the other parent as your children's mother or father it has a more positive tone to it. It shows that you acknowledge someone as a parent and as a person. This could be the result of a more positive experience with the other parent or it could simply be that you see that using negative terms to refer to a person that you had a child with can't do much good for you or you children.

This is a very important show that will effect a whole lot of people so bring all of your co-parenting feelings and stories and let's see why you refer to the other half of your child as your babymom/dad or the mother/father of your children.
Either way we'll learn and teach a lot just like we always do.
