This show is gonna be a little different than anything that we've done before. Of course we know that being skipped or left back and being put in your right grade and G.O.T. (graduating on time) are terms that we identified with when we were in school but that's where it all started and not really where it ends.

Many people had been left back a grade while they were in school. Myself included. While those who that happened to had that in common, the thing that separated them all were the reasons that that left back, setback occurred. For some there may have been concentration or discipline issues or aptitude problems or attendance problems due to either illness or neglect. There can be many reasons that a person is not promoted to the next grade but has to repeat. That's a lot different from the people that got skipped a grade. What most of them had in common was that they were just exceptionally smart and probably had parents who monitored their progress closely. But even still, all who were skipped were not cut from the same cloth. Evironmental factors are always looming.

Being left back or skipped can have deastating consequences on a person's social life and they can either make a bad situation worse or they can make a good situation better. They can also make a manageable situation less manageable if there is jealousy and resentment issues present along with a little immaturity.

Fast forward a little bit and take it to your adult life. In many ways aren't we still being skipped, left back, put in our right grades and graduating on time? Think about your job, your family, your social circles of clubs and organizations. Anyting coming to mind? No? Ever steal or lose a lover to someone else? Ever been promoted to a position over someone more experienced and/or tenured than you at work? No? Ever see it? Ever lose something you like or cared about and worked like hell to get it back?

Rock with this show.
