What goes through your mind when you see someone you used to love/like and/or respect down on their luck? What if they look bummy, maybe on drugs and are homeless or semi-homeless?

Does it hurt more if that person used to be one of the cleaner, more fly people that you used to know? The kind that used to be up on all the flyest, latest stuff? The kind that used to have so much!

Does it hurt more if that person is someone you used to deal with romantically? How can somebody that you used to go with go down in such a way? Does that say anything about you and your choices? Should it?

What if a person you used to mess with turns out to be gay? How do you handle that situation? Is that even a situation that has anything to do with you? Do you ask yourself if you should have seen any indications that this would be the case? Would it matter to you at all?

In any of these situations would it compell you to try to help them get back on their feet or is it that they probably paved their own way to destruction?

Is it necessary to at least have a long talk with them to find out where their path veered into such a different direction than it did or do we just let it go and chalk it up as fate?
