Is it better to voice your concerns to the people that you know when you are having an emotional breakdown or should you keep it to yourself and try to handle things on your own?

Many people struggle with this situation on a regular basis. How do you fight off a depressive episode without sounding like a whiner and/or getting on people's nerves. They say you're supposed to take advantage of you're resources and get the help you need from wherever it might be available but it can be hard to do when it seems that depressive episodes visit you routinely. What can you do? What should you do? Do you continue to tap the well of listening ear friends that may seem to drying out or do you try to find some sort of self-help solution that could offer a new perspective? do you just wait it out and hope that it subsides? Has it ever just taken care of itself previously?

How many people suffer in silence? Is that what you do?

Should you seek out advice at the first onset of stress and depression or should you wait it out awhle? What if the problems that you're having seem small or regular for most people?

Is it ok to feel embarrassed asking for emotional help?

How do you fight off feelings of hopelessness? Is there a such thing as hopelessness or is that just something that people take too far when they are under extreme stress?

Should you seek professional help or are there some techniques that you can employ that will save you a lot of time and money as well as keep you off of prescription drugs?

Can you fight off feelings of suicide and win?

Spoiler alert!: Yes.
