We all know the terms that we use. Deadbeat dad. Sperm donor. Absentee father. Biological father. The parent we call by his 1st name. The one I wish was there when I was growing up but wasn't. The one who always shows up too late or not at all to those special events that rewuire so many pictures.

On this show I want to get into some of the reasons these things may happen? Is it always irresponsibility on the part of the dads? Black men in particular? How much does your income status play into this? If a man didn't want to enter into a parental relationship in the 1st place should the expectations of his involvement remain the same as a man who wanted the child from the time of conception? What about Pro life vs pro choice when the 2 parents disagree? How does that situation get handeled?

On the issue of child support how fair are the rules that govern this? Should "good dads have to pay the same as "bad " dads? Is your income a good barometer of how much a dad should pay? If a dad is really well to do does that justify a $5000 a month or more child support payment when the mother of that child does not live within those means? Is the child support payment about the child or the mother in most cases where the state is involved? Exactly when should the state get involved? Does the decision to employ state regulated child support play right into the hands of opportunistic women? What are some the relationship factors that play into child support if any? What about the time spent with children by a dad? How much does or should that matter to the courts? Besides the courts How hard should parents try to avoid the court appointed child support verdict?
