What does it mean to "treat someone like a stepchild?" Are you a stepchild or stepparent? Was the "Brady Bunch" based on your family? Or was your family more like "Run's House?" Are you closer to your stepparent than your biological parent? Do you call your stepparent mom or dad? Did you resent your step-parent for marrying your biological parent? Do you still hold onto that resentment? Has your own biological parent ever treated you like a stepchild? Was the word "step" forbidden to be used in your family? Is there a difference between a step-sibling and a half-sibling? Is there more sibling rivalry in step-families? Have you ever gone out of your way to gain their acceptance? Are you still trying to gain their acceptance? Do you do more for your step parent than their biological children?
