Street knowledge vs. Book knowledge

Is it all about hustlin', grindin' and gettin' that money in the streets or should you get into those books, go to school and try to make it happen? Obviously one is more of a risk than the other, but is the money worth the risk that's involved? Do you know the streets and have hustled hard in them? Did you feel like you had other options or were you somehow trapped? Were the consequences worth it?
