Allie Slocum has over 15 years of teaching experience in public and private schools. She also teaches gifted and talented students. In 2013, when her oldest reached 3rd grade, she created a Character Club for girls which met at her house after school. The group studied character virtues (including compassion, forgiveness, integrity, respect, responsibility, initiative, cooperation, and perseverance) and performed service projects around the community.
Allie's passion to introduce children to strong character values motivated her to write the Character Club series, a series of chapter books for ages 8+,
