The holidays are over, and right about now, many of us are lamenting the New Year’s resolutions we didn’t manage to keep even for the first two weeks of 2018. Yet, as Christians, we can take heart in knowing that, despite the season or the time of year, we have a mission to accomplish that is timeless. What exactly does that mean? Do we truly know our mission as members of our respective churches and as brothers and sisters in the body of Christ? What does mission look like, has it changed over the years, and how do we effectively carry it out?

Reverend Charles Kelly, is ordained as Minister of Word and Sacrament in the PC (USA). Born and raised in Houston, Texas, Charles completed his undergrad degree in Philosophy at the University of Houston. He then attended what is now Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, VA where he received his Master's of Divinity and Master's of Christian Education. He was disappointed to learn that mastering divinity gave him no supernatural powers.

Following his graduation from Union in 2012, he served as a chaplain at the Methodist Hospital of Houston and as a ministry assistant at St. Philip Presbyterian Church in Houston. In April of 2014, Charles was ordained and began serving as the pastor at First Presbyterian Church in Las Animas, CO.

Join us Tuesday, january 16th at 8:00 AMM MST, when Reverend Kelly will share his experiences with mission, how it has evolved, and what the future of mission means to the church.
