Our Qur'an reading for the day will (in shaa Allah) be Sura (chapter) 17:7, "If ye did well, ye did well for yourselves; if ye did evil, (ye did it) against yourselves. So when the second of the warnings came to pass, (We permitted your enemies) to disfigure your faces, and to enter your Temple as they had entered it before, and to visit with destruction all that fell into their power."

Like-Minded People 4 Social Justice members include: Imam Yahya Shabazz, Imam Muhammad Abdul Maalik, Sister Amatullah Alaji-Sabrie and Imam Ayman Abdul Mujeeb.

On the importance of CULTURE, the team syas, "Let us apply this term cultivate to the minds, (soil) of our youth and apply this same scenario as it relates the influences of today’s environment. Culture is given to us by Allah and it takes in  our  traditions,  customs,  food,  music,  dress,  etc.  But  when  we  allow  negative  influences such as  insects, weeds,  contaminated water  and other influences in the form of gansta rap, sexually explicit movies, etc; given to us by  the entertainment  industry to subordinate that which we have been given from Allah, we all suffer."
