I PERSONALLY KNEW THE HON. ELIJAH MUHAMMAD

Join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE for a special edition featuring people who personally knew The Honorable Elijah Muhammad who can share with us the personal side of this man; individuals who regularly visited or worked in his home.

We want to learn what made him smile and laugh? How did he interact with his family and close friends? What was it like being in his presence while he was away from the microphone, the large meetings and the media? Who was the day-to-day Mr. Elijah Muhammad?

On Sunday February 14, 2021 from 1-3 p.m. EST on WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE we plan to honor this great man by hearing first-hand, experiential stories from primary sources such as Imam Darnell Karim, Brother Nadar Ali (the importer of Whiting H&G fish), Khalilah Ali (former wife of Muhammad Ali). Dr. Shakeelah Hassan (the creator of the famous Fez), Dr. Lynne Muhammad, and Elijah Muhammad III (the grandson of the Hon. Elijah Muhammad.

Regretfully it seems that our American society – even among African Americans – is reluctant to take a holistic look at Mr. Elijah Muhammad and properly recognize him for the great achievements he was blessed to bring to our society.
