This year the Mother of our Islamic community, the Honorable Sister Clara Muhammad, the wife of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad would have celebrated her 121st birthday. Thanks to the wisdom of her son, Imam W. Deen Mohammed, her name and legacy live on all around America.

Join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE this Sunday November 1, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. EST as we discuss this historical lady with her grandchildren Ruqaiyah Muhammad, Elijah “Sonny” Mohammed, Halimah Mohammed-Ali and Laila Mohammed as they share their special memories and life lessons learnt from Sister Clara, may Allah bless her soul. Also joining us will be Dr. Shakeela Z. Hassan, a dear friend and the creator of the Fez worn by the Hon. E. Muhammad.

Imam WD Mohammed said, "The nourishing hands of my mother, Clara Muhammad are never out of my recall. From them (my parents) I got a conditioning to want to be satisfied and comfortable with my own ability to think."
