As-Salaam Alaikum

Join WORDS-MAKE-PEOPLE on Sunday June 07, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. (EST) for wholesome discussion on "Black Lives Matter and George Floyd from a Muslim American Perspective" with special guest Imam Dr. Nasir Ahmad of Miami, FL and Imam/Dr. Bashir Ali of Peoria, IL and Imam Ayman Abdul-Mujeeb of Los Angeles, CA.

Please note that much of this program's discussion will be geared towards the Students of Imam W. Deen Mohammed; those who follow his thoughts and teachings. Imam W. Deen Mohammed gave us direct specific insights and directions on referring to African Americans as "black" people. We will discuss his advice on the naming of our people.

BLACK LIVES MATTER (BLM) is an essential movement as necessary as the Civil Rights Movement of the 1950-60's. As students of Imam Mohammed we are not to call people "the black man" or the "white, or yellow man".

We'll also discuss the murder of our beloved brother George Floyd. What lessons are we learning from this tragic death?
