Join WORDS MAKE PEOPLE on BLOG TALK RADIO Sunday August 12, 2018 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. (EST) for A REPEAT episode of WORDS MAKE PEOPLE with your host Michael "Mikal" Saahir and Co-Host Brother Mustaffaa Abdullah.

This Sunday Aug 12th, in shaa' Allah (G_d willing) we will discuss: “Black EARS Matter – Can our Youth Survive Today’s Violent Vulgar Music?” There is a strong belief that the music industry has manipulated rap music to glorify misogyny (abuse of women), violence, drugs and materialism. We have to teach our children to guard their ears against these evils.

Special guest: Tomie Mundy and Imam Wilmore Sadiki.

Tomie is the Finance Manager at Sony Pictures Entertainment. He has worked with Khafra Productions/A&M Records, Capitol Records and has worked with some of the biggest names in the Music industry including Tupac, Ice-T, Ice Cube and many others. Tomie has seen the good and the bad of the industry.

Imam Wilmore Sadiki is the Resident Imam of The St. Petersburg Islamic Center for 17 years, and has served on the religious board of Eckert College for 9 years. Many of us know of Brother Wilmore's successful music career that gave us the beautiful songs, COVERED ALL OVER; ALLAH DID; I WAS BORN A MUSLIM and many more family oriented Islam songs.
