This month of February is Deemed Black and African American History Month. This appears to be saying that there are two phases of the history being highlighted. One could assume that Black is the painful tragedy expressed in the definition of the word. The other, perhaps, is what came out of the battle to be free to recover the human dignity that had been whited-out of existence. Dr. Baiza's application of comparing and contrasting truth against falsehood tells her there is a much deeper history still hidden from the masses of the American people.
