This podcast welcomes Beth Harris  of Beth International Ministries and her co-host Anna Beth.  Their guest is Alix Jules a Harvard graduate and confessed Atheist.

In the Rise of Atheism in America part 1, we'll address one of the fastest growing segments in the US, the Non-Religious. We will discuss the historical relevance in atheism and secularism and explore it's impact on culture, both historically in American society and it's historical context within the African-American community.

We will address some of the common myths about atheism, examine the value system, and debunk some of the misconceptions. What does it mean to be an atheist? Do they accept any forms of spiritualism? What about sources of morality? And why are they always so angry? And is the US truly a Christian nation?

The Topics will also include the rise of the general secularism and why despite the decrease in overall American religiosity, why some communities continue to maintain high levels of religious coherence.
