Me and My Friends Magic Mendez and musicial compliment Harmony Blackwell are Nu Jazz, with a contemporary, funky, classy, R & B feel.  The group concept created by Magic, leaves room for his musician friends and performers to express their Nu Jazz by being a guest artist on upcoming projects.  

Magic founder of Magic Muzik Productions, LLC.  has produced and performed with such legendary artists as The Whispers, Maurice White of Earth Wind and Fire, The Manhattans, Russ Freeman and the Rippingtons, George Duke, Phil Perry, Gerald Albright, Howard Hewett and Love Unlimited.  

Harmony vocalist and keyboard player has worked alongside Magic in Magic Muzik Productions, LLC. having the privilage of laying her vocal presence on albums with The Whispers, Russ Freeman and the Rippingtosn, Phil Perry and Love Unlimited. 

Currently, Magic has written, composed and produced The Whispers new thought provoking single, “How Long”, a song Magic penned in1983 during the Russian Missile Crisis.  After waiting 14 years, The Whispers chose his song "How Long", as their new single after Twin Scotty Scott, heard the song by chance and fell in love with it.
