SciFriday: The Blood is the Life

Venture capitalist and transhumanist Peter Thiel reportedly believes that transfusions of blood from young people may be the secret of living forever. Call it parabiosis if you want, it still evokes images of Dracula.

The key difference between this approach to attaining eternal life and Christ's: He shed his blood so we can live forever, while transhumanists (and vampires) would shed the blood of others so they can live forever.
